Career Trek

Every year, WUPP hosts a career trek, traveling to our nation’s capital to meet leaders, network, and discover their interests. Attendees have the opportunity to attend career development events with a variety of employers in the D.C. area, as well as a variety of other career-oriented enrichment events & tours.

Members spend 1-2 nights in Washington, D.C., with transportation and lodging largely covered by the club.

Essential information regarding sign-ups for our Career Trek will be distributed during our GBMs — be sure to also check our Instagram page (@pennwupp) for updates leading up to the sign-up deadline!

WUPP Case Competition

Each year, WUPP invites Penn students to form teams of up to 5 students and present policy solutions. Our panel of judges are leading policy experts and leaders in the Philadelphia area. The top teams each year receive cash prizes of up to $500.

How to Compete

Students can register for the Case Competition in the spring and will be given 3 weeks to prepare a presentation. Registration is made available via our Instagram (@pennwupp), as well as through flyers and our GBMs. A packet will be distributed with the relevant topics, statistics, materials, etc.

The day of the Case Competition kicks off with a special speaker event, after which teams present their findings to judges in a 10 minute presentation and a 5 minute Q&A.
