WUPP’s Mission
We strive for a better tomorrow.
WUPP aims to promote the relevance and application of policy issues and current events to all fields, from consulting to engineering, nonprofit work, and more. WUPP prepares students to become the next generation of leaders and change-makers in all that they do.
We provide opportunities to consult for major organizations on policy issues, conduct research & analysis, and attend transformative speaker & signature events.
Our alumni have gone on to prestigious and successful careers in consulting, finance, technology, and government. We maintain a robust alumni network and hold career development events so our members can stay connected and discover their interests.
WUPP’s History
Today, WUPP consists of 120+ members representing all four undergraduate schools at Penn.
WUPP is the successor to the Wharton Public Policy Initiative (Public Policy Scholars Program) and was formerly part of Wharton’s BEPP (Business Economics & Public Policy) department.
We have since grown into an independent student organization with 120+ members and partners across and outside of campus, and we continue to serve as a hub for students interested in applying their policy interests to whatever they choose to pursue.
